The Department of Financial Services — Compensation & Appointments assists research units with the recruitment and hiring of grant-funded personnel, such as students, faculty and professional staff. Staff reviews recruitment plans, position descriptions and position announcements, and serves as a liaison with KU’s Department of Human Resources and Equal Opportunity.
The department processes all changes that affect payroll and payroll records for grant-funded employees. Staff members also prepare documents regarding immigration issues relative to obtaining temporary worker visas.
